you can use winzip for rar files you dont need winrar but you do need a piece of software that can extract files
If you want a free extraction program you can just use 7-Zip. It's better than WinZip and WinRar and it's free.
NO WAY WINRAR IS THE BEST YOU CN USE IT FOREVER EVEN AFTER THE FREE TRIAL
